About

Rosie Scott

Beyond taking pictures, Rosie is dedicated to documenting the special connection between dogs and their human families. She creates images and wall art that tell a unique story and evoke deep emotion for years to come.

The beginning

My photography journey started in 2018 on the arrival of a little German Shepherd puppy called Etta. I had recently tragically lost my six month old GSD Enzo and was determined to document Etta’s life incase I was also denied her future. The photo to the right was one of my very first pictures!

Etta was given her own Instagram page which is still active today . I often look back at how far I have come in my photography journey as well as remembering how cute she was in her younger years. This is really what drives me to helping others capture these special moments.

I grew up in a family of photographers. My mum and brother are both highly accomplished photographers so I never felt the need to pick up a camera myself. When I finally did, I left behind the family tradition of the Canon and went with Sony! - They still haven’t forgiven me!

We now have an impressive seven dogs and a horse. I am passionate about dog training and behaviour. Etta trains and competes in scent work (of which I have also been a judge) and Rocky is currently training in competitive obedience. We have rescue dogs and have fostered dogs. I really do love them all!

What Sam said:

“Our photoshoot with Rosie was amazing, she went above and beyond, listening to Bruce’s needs (ie not dog social) and found us an amazing spot for an outdoor shoot”

“She knew where and how to place him, tree stumps/fallen logs, clearings in the forest and he worked brilliantly for her (striking poses Madonna would have been proud of!) I was impressed with the rapport she had with him.

Rosie listened to what I wanted, but I received so much more than that. Some amazing pictures of my bestest boy to treasure- I can’t wait till the spring and bluebells!

Ps - extra credit, not only was she super focused on my boy, she managed to spot a random dog walker approaching (which I’d missed) and alerted us so we could take evasive measures if needed - top work.”
